i'm having trouble disabling edge
i installed fakeAPN, even though i can see that the APN has changed, i can still access the internet through edge!
i updated my iphone3g to version 3.0, would that be why fakeAPN isn't working?

If you go into  Settings, General, Network, Cellular Data Network.. what does it say in there?

Also what Country/Mobile Phone Carrier are you with?

under cellular data it says APN: fakeapn.notvalid
                                    Username: asdjha4536DD.notvalid
                                    password: asdasd
i'm currently in China, but i live in Canada
can i be sure that it works in Canada with Fido?

is it possible to disable data on the 3gs. I tried to use unlockit.co.nz at the apple store in the US (AT&T) and it seemed to work, but both 3g and edge still functioned. Will there be an update to remedy this problem in the future?
