I got my auto enrollment in the data package the other day. Switched to my old phone and had the package taken off.  I ran on to this site, tried the fake apn. It installs fine but the Edge icon still shows up at the top. The website features page still sees my iphone connected. And I'm pretty sure ATT tried to call me about it, but I didn't answer. So it seems to me that ATT U.S. has found a way around the fake apn. I tried a custom APN and it tells me it can't install, the format is incorrect. I'm sure they will stick me with the data package again soon. Any ideas?

If it says it invalid format you must be running a Beta 4 Version on the iPhone Most likely.. The FakeAPN doesn't need to be done on V4.0 Beta as there is a switch on V4 which allows you to turn off Cellular Data (which Version 3 doesn't have)

Where do I find the switch to shut it off? And where do i find which version i am running? My settings say i'm running version 2.02(5c1), modem firmware 02.28.00, and it's a 3G. I had to get Supreme Preferences to be able to manually edit the APN settings.

Thanks,

There really is nothing you can do.. It is easily worked out iby any carrier f you are using an iPhone on their network without the right plan.. It happens to alot of people who do this.
