Hi, hoping you can help me here.

I'm using an iphone 3g, locked to the UK O2 network, however jailbroken and unlocked. I was using firmware 3.0 and that allowed me to enter custom apn settings, meaning i could connect to 3g internet using my sim card (Orange UK). However, since updating to jailbroken 4.0 firmware apple have disabled custom APN settings.
So i stumbled upon this website, which seams brilliant and apparently the only way of installing the custom settings. However after visiting the website on my iphone and filling out the forms i get the message:
"Cannot Install Profile
Safari could not install a profile due to an unkown error."
Using the email option i get the same problem.

I have enabled SSH on my iphone so i wondered if maybe there was a way to manually install the settings?

I've also tried contacting my network provider and asking if they could try texting me the settings, however this didn't work either?

Desperate for help because i'm paying £5 a month for my 3g internet and not being able to use it.

Help please?

Cheers, Jamie

Little update, tried using the iphone email client to install instead of downloading through safari and i get the following error message:

"Unsupported URL
This URL wasn't loaded: prefs:root=General&path=ManagedConfigurationList/InstallRequested&sender=com.apple.mobilemail"

Just thought that might help?
