iphone 3g on XT

Basically ive just signed up with telecom XT and having problems (no service)

I dont have a XT phone to test to make sure the sim is working properly.
My question is:
Will the telecom XT work with the iPhone.
If so is there any settings anywhere that have to be changed (I currently have 'no service')

I have already done the Telecom XT ipcc carrier update, but to my understanding that doesnt have anything to do with voice or txt

Yes it will work 100%. Make sure you have 3G turned on (XT is 3G Only)
if it doesn't work then maybe the sim card is not turned on properly (try in another XT compatible phone or contact Telecom about it)

i feel like an idiot now : D
everytime I enabled 3g, i lost signal.
So as soon as I read your post, i already knew 3g was disabled

phone is working now, I got 7 txt's about 10 seconds after enabling 3g (as soon as it connected)
Also have 100% reception now as well.
Have just spent 9days trying to get my number swapped over, thats why I was unsure if it was me, the phone or the sim

Well, there goes my battery life if I have to have 3g on all the time, but i suppose I can live with that.
