unlockit.co.nz and iPhone OS 4.0

Apple have released to developers V4.0 for the iPhone.

It has a large number of new features including the ability to turn off cellular data with a switch .

No know carrier files (ipcc) files work at the moment to change things like logos and settings for non official carriers and config (mobileconfig) files seem to install but it will not change the settings as far as I can tell but we are working on it.

  1. dammit. i realized this issue too. running on a BB plan so i can rotate phones but once i loaded up 4.0 and put my sim card in, i got the “no cellular” message.

do you guys think its possible to get a fix today or will it be coming in the next few days?

    1. Settings APN’s on OS4 is broken at the moment, but it has been reported as a bug. The only thing you can do at the moment is enter them in by hand.

  2. Hello Admin,

How do you enter them in by hand? I tried using the iPhone Config Utility without success, which is what I usually used to manually insert the APN info. I’m also using the 4.0 beta.

do you know for sure that i will not get charged for data with your unlockit.co.nz apn changer-
on curently on att, and have a iphone 3g 3.1.3, and want to put my sim in it- but scared that they will charge me- or put the 30 bucks a month plan on me, im in college and always have a wi-fi signal, so why pay for the data plan ya knoe?

  4. Beta 2 is out and still no fix… I have a 3GS with an AT&T GoPhone account, so every time I load anything over cellular data I get: “Could not activate cellular data network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service.” If you could find a fix quickly, that would be wonderful.

  5. Hi guys ,
I’m on a BB data plan , on iphone 3gs 3.1.3 , couldn’t use the tethering , ”contact rogers to enable…..” , is there any solution or fix .
    Thanks

  6. Wonderful news! I just installed iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 3 and discovered that .ipcc files still do not take, however, mobileconfig files do!!!! I am so happy! Not to mention the camera now working!

  7. Works for me!!! This is a life changer for the US traveler!
I managed to get my AT&T GoPhone SIM support data on iPhone (3GS with iOS 4.0).
    That’s a great tool!
