APN’s and Proxies

There are a few Carriers who need a Proxy set up for them in the APN Settings. As of yet I don’t set any/give the option, but I will try and get the option added in this weekend as well for people to use (if they need it).

Update: APN Settings for Koodo Mobile have been added in which sets the Proxy as well

    Both these settings i have gotten to work, and must be set in both the carrier profile and in SwirlyMMS to be able to send and receive email out of SwirlyMMS. I think if you set the proxy it will work out of the normal MMS app on the iphone.

    I just jailbroke & unlocked an iPod 2G for the T-Mobile USA network and I can’t get the web to work. I’m still on my Sidekick Unlimited plan and I’ve heard that there is a way to configure it to work.

Post installation of apn for vodafone India The browser updates the data for google however it does not update or reflect anything on further search or on further internet address please do let me know if I have to do any further setting to it

    Under MMS select APN and enter “proxy.stm.sk.ca”

    I’ve iPhone 3gs iOS 4.2.1 with 6.15.00 Base band updated with redsnow.
    I can use edge well (needed to be reset sometimes, however wrks good after that).

    But there’s no MMS icon in my cell. There are manual settings that are required to be filled under network settings. However, there’s CAMERA icon near the message writing bar.

    Please help with what’s missing in it.

    1. If you cannot edit the APN Settings by hand then there is no way of entering them in via a config file sorry. Its just a limitation of the iPhone
